Harvard Law School

Graphic Design

Harvard Law School’s Animal Law & Policy Program publishes research focused on protecting animals, including improving conditions for animals raised for food. The program was looking for a marketing firm that could help with graphic design for research papers written by its researchers, delivered as polished PDFs for final presentation.

Harvard University School of Law hires Rootless Agency

The Dilemma

It started with a call from an unknown number. Xhulio was on the road conducting a photo shoot for a client and was reluctant to answer, but not wanting to miss a client call, he picked up. It was Harvard Law School.

The goal was clear and simple: a professional look that was graphically interesting, with the research papers delivered in PDF form for final presentation. Speed mattered just as much. Once the research is done, the final papers must be submitted as quickly as possible. And because the research is proprietary, the work came with strict confidentiality requirements.

The Rootless Solution

There was a definite process to follow. We quoted the work and responded with a proposal, along with examples of previous work. Within a week, a contract was signed and Rootless Agency was on board.

We designed the research papers to be visually interesting and professional, and delivered the final PDFs quickly. As part of the agreement, we do not release any designs or post the research papers on our website, which is why you won’t see them here.

What started with a surprise phone call grew into a long-term relationship with a highly respected university.
